A clinic where a doctor does the work

Haarkliniek Brugge was founded on one conviction: hair loss is a medical problem, and so deserves a medical approach. No sales team, no packages, no miracle cures. Just examination, an honest conversation and a doctor who follows your entire journey.

The doctor

Dr Maurits De Wolf

Dr Maurits De Wolf

Physician · medical director
  • DegreesMedicine and dentistry
  • TrainingBelgium and the Netherlands
  • FocusFUE hair transplantation, hairline design, repair transplants, medical treatment of hair loss
  • LanguagesDutch, English, French

A hairline isn't a line on a head. It helps define the proportions of a face. Dr De Wolf holds degrees in both medicine and dentistry. Dentistry is where the handwork in the face comes from, at the scale of millimetres; medicine provides the framework around it.

He brings that background to hair surgery. He doesn't just look at how many grafts are needed, but at where they should go so that in ten years they still fit your face and your further hair loss.

He studied and worked in Belgium and the Netherlands, and leads the medical work of Haarkliniek Brugge. He tells you what is achievable, and just as clearly what isn't.

The team

Head of nursing

Brandon is beside you on the day of the procedure and is your first point of contact at every check-up. He knows what day ten after a transplant feels like, and calls you before you have to ask.

Inside the Cosmipolis Health Innovation Center

Haarkliniek Brugge is located in Cosmipolis, a medical centre in Bruges where doctors from different disciplines work under one roof. That's good news for you for three reasons.

First: the infrastructure is that of a medical centre, not a salon. Treatment rooms that meet the standards for minor surgery, a nursing team that's there daily.

Second: if your situation requires more than hair alone (a skin condition, a hormonal question, a blood test), the right colleague is in the same building.

Third: everything is by appointment. You're not sitting in a waiting room full of people, and your journey stays between you and the medical team.

Staying overnight, if you wish

A hair transplant takes a whole day. If you're travelling from far away, or simply want to recover in peace, you can stay overnight in a private suite in the same building. Not a hospital room, but your own space with the medical team close at hand.

  • Fully equipped suite with private bathroom
  • Medical team in the same building, reachable at night too
  • Breakfast and first check-up the next morning
  • On request: transfer to and from the station or airport

Entirely optional; most patients simply go home.

What we stand for

Examination first, advice second. Nobody gets a treatment plan from us without a doctor having examined their scalp and donor area. Not via WhatsApp either.

The right amount, not the most. More grafts isn't always better. A donor area has to last a lifetime, and a hairline has to suit the face you'll have in twenty years.

No is also an answer. If a transplant isn't the right choice now, we say so. If your question belongs with a dermatologist, we refer you on instead of treating you.

One fixed amount. After the consultation you get one price in writing, everything included. What we agree is what you pay.

The person who operates on you is the person you see again. For twelve months, with check-ups and photos. That's not an extra; it's included.

Look first, then decide

Every journey starts with a consultation in which we map your scalp, your hair density and your stage. Only then do we talk about what makes sense. And if the answer is 'wait a little longer', we'll say so.
